One of the only public accessible Donald Ross designed championship golf courses in greater Chicago.  Established in 1901, Calumet Country Club has a long history of championship golf dating back to the 1924 Western Open as well as the 1945 Chicago Victory Open. The 1945 Victory Open will forever be remembered as one of the Eleven Straight Tournament victories that Byron Nelson achieved that year.

Mr. Bendalow also designed Naperville Country Club, and all three courses of Medinah Country Club.

Old Oak Country Club is located just 20 minutes from Chicago, was built in 1926 on a tract of land in Homer Glen, Illinois that is dominated by large oaks, hickory’s and Long Run Creek. The 18 hole golf course has also changed in recent years. The results of these changes/enhancements are obvious, the 18 hole golf course has been skillfully carved out of the natural environment. Square Links is a 1,749-yard, par 32 course owned by the Frankfort Square Park District (formerly known as Hickory Creek Golf Course). It’s open daily thru October (weather permitting). The Practice Center covers over 400,000 square feet and includes both manicured grass tees and synthetic hitting bays. Also featured is a spectacular 18-hole natural grass putting green and practice sand bunker.

In 1996, Architect Steve Halberg took a creek side prairie with tree groves scattered throughout and turned this property into The Sanctuary Golf Course.  The Sanctuary Golf Course travels over 6,900 yards through a mixture of tall grass, tree groves and wetlands.
